- Aviation services group John Menzies said it had secured a number of contracts wins and renewals across is UK operations.

They included a three-year contract with Lufthansa at Glasgow Airport, which would involve the company delivering passenger, ramp and de-icing services for Germany's largest airline.

John Menzies had also landed a new five-year seasonal contract with United Airlines in Glasgow.

At Edinburgh aiport, the company said Swiss leisure airline Edelweiss Air had selected it as its ground handler.

Lufthansa and United Airlines havd also renewed their ground handling contracts at Edinburgh Airport, for a term of three and five years, respectively.

At London Gatwick, Wizz Air had renewed its passenger, ramp, cleaning and de-icing contract with John Menzies for a three-year term.

Royal Air Maroc, the Moroccan national carrier, had also extended its ground handling agreement for three years the comapny.

At London Heathrow. John Menzies said it had scored a three-year contract renewal for ground handling from Portugal's Tap Air.

Middle Eastern Airlines had also selected the compan as its cargo handling partner of choice for a further two years.
