- Bingo company Rank said its net gaming revenue rose 9% in the first quarter, led by strong sales at its Grosvenor casino business.

On a like-for-like basis, net gaming revenue for the three months through September rose 10%.

Grosvenor revenue jumped 15%, while digital revenue jumped 16%, both on a like-for-like basis, offsetting a flat performance in the Mecca bingo division.

'We are pleased with the growth achieved across our businesses in this key part of our financial year, as well as with the ongoing progress we are making with our transformation programme,' chief executive John O'Reilly said.

'The acquisition of Stride marks a pivotal moment in the development of our digital offering and having completed on 4 October 2019, we are now starting the execution of all our plans for integration and delivery of synergy benefits.'
