- CentralNic said it expected to close its $48m acquisition of web services provider Team Internet in the week commencing 23 December.

The acquisition marked a 'major step in adding domain related web services to CentralNic's service offering,' the company said.

The update arrived after CentralNic on 15 November said it had signed a conditional agreement to acquire the entire share capital of web services provider, Team Internet from Matomy.

The acquisition was expected to be 'immediately earnings enhancing and provide significant opportunities to drive cross selling by expanding both CentralNic's customer base and product set,' it added.
