StockMarketWire.com - IT infrastructure and services provider Softcat said it had grown its revenue and operating profit in the first quarter of its financial year.

In a short trading statement, chief executive Graeme Watt said the company had also grown its customer numbers.

'We also successfully opened our new office in Birmingham in September and are excited about the contribution it can make over the long term,' Watt said.

'While it is still early in our new financial year, I'm confident we will achieve the goals we have set ourselves for 2020.'
