StockMarketWire.com - Heat and power distributor Aggregated Micro Power, trading as AMP Clean Energy, said it had accepted a £63.1m takeover bid from a private equity firm.

Aggregated Micro Power shareholders would receive 90p per share from the acquirer, Asterion Industrial Infra Fund I, representing a 32.4% premium to their closing price on Thursday.

'This transaction allows AMP Clean Energy shareholders to crystallise value through a cash offer at a premium to the current market value whilst providing AMP Clean Energy with the stable source of capital that it requires to move forward and achieve its ambitions,' chairman Neil Eckert said.

In a separate announcement, the company said it had sold its 4% stake in IncubEx for £2.35m.
