StockMarketWire.com - Supermarket giant Tesco said it was considering selling its businesses in Thailand and Malaysia after receiving 'inbound interest' in the assets.
The company said it had commenced a review of strategic options for the businesses, including an evaluation of their possible sale.
'The evaluation of strategic options is at an early stage, no decisions concerning the future of Tesco Thailand or Malaysia have been taken, and there can be no assurance that any transaction will be concluded,' Tesco said.
'A further announcement will be made if and when appropriate,' it added.
