StockMarketWire.com - Hightex and its Brazilian construction partner SEPA have been selected to engineer and install the membrane structure of the roof of the Beira-Rio Stadium in Porto Alegre, a 2014 FIFA World Cup venue.
The contract win is the second in Brazil by Hightex, having already won the contract for Rio de Janeiro's Maracana Stadium that will host the 2014 FIFA Final and 2016 Olympics. The project has a contract value approaching €10m.
The engineering work will start immediately and the construction is due to be completed during 2013.
