StockMarketWire.com - Ukraine poultry products company MHP SA said after successful trial production in late 2012 its Vinnytsia project has been launched into industrial production.
"Currently a hatchery, a slaughter house, 4 rearing brigades etc. are operational and we are happy with our progress on this project," the company said in a statement.
"During 2013 the Company will continue construction of the rearing sites with their gradual launch in operations, as a logical step in an increase of capacity utilization, and as a result will increase its overall chicken meat production volumes," it said.
During full-year 2012, MHP's production of poultry rose 1% to 375,300 tonnes, at an average underlying price per kg of $17.19, up 15%.
Sunflower oil production rose 12% to 195,000 tonnes for the full year, at an average price of $1,109 per tonne, down 11%.
Its third party sales volumes of meat processing products totalled 35,200 tonnes, down 5%, at an average underlying price per kg of $22.2, up 11%.
