StockMarketWire.com - Hummingbird Resources said it had recovered 10,737 ounces of gold from its Yanfolila mine in Mali since production commenced in December.

Of that volume, 5,483 ounces had been shipped to refiners.

Yanfolila had steadily been ramping up towards full production in line with the company's planned schedule.

Over the past ten days, the plant was operating at an average of around 90% of design throughput capacity, achieving around 96% gold recoveries, the company said.

'I am pleased that activity on site is steadily progressing as per the ramp-up schedule and we are on track to achieve name plate capacity from the plant by the end of the 2018 first quarter,' chief executive Dan Betts said.
