StockMarketWire.com - Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust said its annual net asset value per share rose 14.9% in the year through October.

The comparative index, the S&P Global Small Cap Index total return, increased by 0.1% in sterling terms.

The trust's performance was boosted by a strong performance from some holdings, including online grocer Ocado and US online furniture retailer Wayfair.

No final dividend was declared.

'The company's objective remains that of generating capital growth,' Edinburgh Worldwide said.

'Should the level of underlying income increase in future years, the board will seek to distribute the minimum permissible to maintain investment trust status.'
