- Anglo American said Tuesday the value of rough diamond sales at its De Beers unit had declined during the second cycle of 2019 to $490m from $500m seen in the first cycle.

The figure compared to $563m seen in the second cycle of 2018.

'Demand for rough diamonds remained consistent during the second sales cycle of 2019. While overall demand for lower value rough diamonds remain subdued we did see an increase in demand from India as factories begin to restock,' said Bruce Cleaver, CEO of De Beers Group.
