StockMarketWire.com - i3 Energy, an independent oil and gas company, announced that the Borgland Dolphin semi-submersible drilling rig had completed its acceptance testing and would begin transit to the Liberator field to initiate drilling.

The Borgland, contracted for a 94-day drilling programme, was commencing move preparations today and was expected to begin transit shortly towards the Liberator field where it would initiate drilling operations, the company said.

The drilling would be carried over the 13/23d LPt-02 pilot well, 13/23c LA-03 appraisal well and the SA-01 well.

As previously announced, following the 2019 drilling campaign referred to above, in 2020 the company expected to undertake further development drilling and to secure delivery of first oil from Liberator at approximately 20,000 barres of oil per day, i3 Energy said.
