- PRE-OPEN REPORT: Headline shares are tipped to open sixty-five to seventy points higher today, according to financial websites, taking a lead from inspirational words from Fed Chairman Ben Bernancke on Friday and strong gains in Asia this morning.


In Asia today, the Nikkei surged 322.13 points to 10,560.33, while the Hang Seng ended the morning ahead 390.95 points at 20,589.97.

Crude oil traded at $74.15 a barrel on Nymex.
