- Union Jack Oil said Egdon Resources will appeal without delay after the North Lincolnshire Council`s Planning Committee refused planning consent for the second time for the development of the Wressle Oil Field at Lodge Farm.

Union Jack holds a 15% interest in PEDL180 and PEDL182 containing the Wressle discovery.

"Notices advertising Egdon's intent to appeal will be displayed in the local parishes and published in the Scunthorpe Telegraph over the coming week in accordance with planning law and an appeal will be submitted without delay shortly after the notice period ends," said Union Jack Oil.

"Egdon will request the Planning Inspectorate to co-join this new appeal with the appeal against the refusal of planning of 11 January 2017. The first appeal is currently scheduled for early November 2017."

Egdon had also also advised that it would separately appeal the decision of the 3 July 2017 meeting to refuse application PA/2017/268, which requested a 12-month extension to the existing planning for the site.

"Egdon is awaiting the decision notice from the North Lincolnshire Council in relation to this application but will issue notices and submit an appeal once this is received," said Union Jack Oil.
