StockMarketWire.com - Greatland Gold has started an exploration programme at its Paterson project which comprises the Havieron and Paterson Range East licences located in the Paterson region of northern Western Australia. Greatland said mobile metal ion sampling had commenced across the Havieron target with initial sample spacing of 200 metres by 200 metres over a 9 square kilometre area.

It said the objective of the MMI sampling was to determine whether this relatively low cost technique could be deployed to screen the many regional targets already identified by the group.

Additionally, the company said it expected to start ground gravity surveys before the end of this month, with efforts initially focused on the Havieron and Scallywag targets.
