StockMarketWire.com - Cleaning product supplier McBride said it had appointed Ludwig de Mot as its new chief executive and that chairman John Coleman would stand down.

De Mot was previously head of steel maker ArcelorMittal's Canadian mining operations.

'Following the successful recruitment of the new chief executive I believe this is the right time for me to step down and allow a new team to take the company through the next phase of its development,' Coleman said.

A further announcement on Coleman's succession would be made in due course. He would not see re-election at the company's annual general meeting on 22 October.

De Mot replaces interim CEO Chris Smith, who would resume his role of chief financial officer.
