- Cancer care provider Rutherford Health booked a deeper first-half loss amid a rise in expenses.

Pre-tax losses for the six months through August amounted to £14.9m, compared to losses of £9.2m on-year.

Revenue rose 70% to £2.5m and was expected to be boosted further in the second half by the broadening of indications for a treatment to support lung, liver and pancreatic cancers.

'The company continues to have a strong pipeline of patients coming through and expect to continue to grow revenue over the coming months,' Rutherford Health said.

'The focus is now on developing the pipeline of patients while managing our costs to achieve a sustainable, long-term business.'
